If you are curious about what to expect in an Emotion Code Session, take a few moments to read this through.
First things first, we need to decide what you would like to focus the session on. When booking a session I have a brief intake questionnaire and you can identify what you would like to focus on. For example, many new time clients want to know if they have a heart wall and if they do, they want to clear it. You can also be working through a theme in your life, have a physical ailment, working through relationship stuff, etc. I like to ask people what feels most alive for them in the moment. Sometimes what feels most present is a good place to start.
At the appointed time of our meeting, you will reach out to me either by calling me on the phone, whats app, FaceTime or Zoom. If we are doing a remote email session, this step doesn’t apply to you. I will already be ready to start our session once you call. I invite you to light a small candle before you call so we can both be held in sacred space together. On my end, before each session I light a candle and say a little prayer before we start. I find this allows me to drop into a heart centered space which helps with the session.
All of my sessions are done by proxy, meaning that once I get your permission, I will connect with you energetically. You may or may not know this but our bodies have the capabilities to connect energetically with each other no matter where we are in the world. Once I have your permission to connect with you energetically I will use a pendulum to tap into your subconscious and ask your body if there are trapped emotions ready to be released.
As I stated before, I need permission before I can work on a client so if you are booking a session for another adult, I need their permission to work on them. If you are booking a session for a child under 18 years old or a pet, I need permission from the parent/guardian in order to work on them.
The majority of the time spent during our session will be focused on identifying and releasing trapped emotions. We will release as many trapped emotions in a session as time allows or your body and subconscious is able to. Your body does need a day or two to process what gets released so it is important to have awareness around that. Dr. Bradley Nelson’s book, The Emotion Code, along with his website goes into more details about the process and flowchart that I’ll follow through the session. At the bottom of this page is the chart that I’ll use in order to identify the trapped emotion.
Once a trapped emotion is identified, I will check to see if that is enough information in order to release the trapped emotion. Sometimes I will need to ask more questions in order to bring the trapped emotions from the subconscious to your awareness. For example, we may need to know the age when this emotion was trapped or if the emotion was inherited. The way that the trapped emotion is released is by me stating the intention to release the trapped emotion and rolling a magnet over the Governing Meridian (on my body since we’re doing proxy testing). I will always check to make sure the trapped emotion is released and we will move on to the next trapped emotions.
I always invite clients to hold the space of love and gratitude in their hearts while we work together because I find that it helps with the clearing of trapped emotions. At any time during the session, if you have a question or something comes up for you, you are welcome to share. The beautiful thing about the Emotion Code is that the you have a choice about what you want to share with me. If a memory pops in your mind, it is not necessary for you to tell me the story in order to release the trapped emotion. As long as it is in your awareness or your conscious mind, that is enough for your subconscious to be ready to release the trapped emotion. When I ask you a question like, “does this resonate” you can simply say “yes” and you don’t have to say more.
The image that comes to mind for me when working on folks is looking at a calm body of water. The trapped emotions are small air bubbles that are rising to the surface. It is our job to focus on each bubble and do whatever is needed to allow for that bubble to fully surface so it can be released. Once the bubble surfaces, it has completely released from the body of water and can’t return in the same form. That’s what the Emotion Code feels like to me. We are simply creating space to allow trapped emotions to come to the surface and be released.
What should you expect after a session?
It is important to note that your body will need a day or two to fully process what has been released. I always invite clients to drink a lot of water and listen to what your body tells you. You may find that emotions or body sensations may bubble up for you and I invite you to make space for them to be felt. You may notice you are feeling fatigued and need more rest, listen to your body. You may not feel anything at all. Some people have vivid dreams or trouble sleeping. Your body is in a process of rebalancing and everyone experiences this differently.
